SEO strategy and steps

Search Engine Optimization

Given that ranking is a means to an end, it’s important to realize that strong SEO results aren’t restricted to being on the top page of Google. This is true of websites, virtual stores, and blogs.

It goes much farther since strategic SEO employs strategies and optimizations in the organic channel that are tailored to your company’s goals and objectives.

That is, everything is planned, implemented, and measured with the goal of achieving the SEO result that your company truly desires. For example, leveraging online sales, increasing awareness, or increasing the number of prospects.

To achieve this, it is worthwhile to do the following procedures, which range from market and competitive study to measurement.

Analyze the market

Measure SEO

Not just for providing a wonderful user experience on your website, but also for knowing your company segment effectively (since it is essential to combine UX and SEO). However, strategic SEO should be used in your business.

Analyze the competition

For a good benchmark, it is essential to follow some important metrics and indicators for the business, such as:

  • What is the organic channel’s share in accessing the analyzed sites?
  • What is your market’s average CTR?
  • What is the average CTR of the analyzed sites?
  • What is the relationship between branded and nonbranded traffic in your market?
  • Do the analyzed sites have a blog? How many % of organic traffic is the blog responsible for on average?
  • What is your market’s average conversion?

Create SEO goals

As mentioned, well-defined goals are required as a starting point to a winning SEO strategy. This involves having specific, measurable objectives, such as:

  • Increase organic traffic to my website by 30% in the next 6 months;
  • Increase the share of my organic channel to 50% within 6 months;
  • Increase the conversion of my organic channel in the next 3 months;

Thinking in this manner is not always simple. It is a common misstep to set grandiose, general goal such as growing revenue or attracting more traffic. Instead, break the big notion goals into modest OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) like the ones listed above.

As a result, things begin to fall into place, and the SEO objectives begin to take shape. Several firms, including Google, use OKRs to great effect.

Make a good SEO plan

The act of planning inside of a firm must be extremely well-coordinated.

When you have a well defined goal, especially a bold one, all of your company planning efforts should align to it.

If these principles are not followed, the outcomes will take considerably longer and will necessitate significantly more money and resources. Plan in an integrated, coordinated, and collaborative manner.
